RUNNING PERFORMANCE TO PRESCRIPTION

ROGUE RUNNER ASSESSMENT

Enter fresh 1-minute and 6-minute max-effort distances from the Rogue Runner. The assessment quantifies Fatigue Factor, identifies the athlete’s training priority, and projects duration-specific targets.

ATHLETE INPUTS

Your test results

TEST STANDARD
  1. Fresh 1-minute maximal effort
  2. Fresh 6-minute maximal effort

Complete both tests on the same Rogue Runner under similar conditions, with full recovery between efforts.

FATIGUE FACTOR

Your duration profile will appear here.

Use two fresh, independently maximal efforts completed on the same Rogue Runner.

HINSHAW FATIGUE FACTOR

What the result means

Fatigue Factor compares how much speed an athlete preserves from a fresh 1-minute maximal effort to a separate fresh 6-minute maximal effort. It is calculated from the raw Rogue Runner distances before any Track (0% incline) conversion.

Below 21% Endurance is strong relative to speed. Prioritize speed and power development.
21–22% The athlete has a balanced speed-endurance relationship.
Above 22% Speed reserve is stronger than endurance durability. Prioritize endurance and fatigue resistance.

TRAINING GOAL

How the goal is calculated

The goal uses the midpoint of the optimal range, 21.5%, and holds the athlete’s stronger test result constant.

  • Below 21%, the calculator raises the 1-minute target to develop speed and power.
  • Above 22%, the calculator raises the 6-minute target to develop endurance and fatigue resistance.
  • Inside 21–22%, the goal is to maintain the current relationship.

The Track (0% incline) equivalent is an estimate and should be refined with athlete-matched heart rate, RPE, breathing, and completion quality.
